When crafting hand made pipes, mistakes sometimes happen. Bowls are turned unevenly and stummels are drilled off the mark. This doesn't mean the pipe is dysfunctional, quite the contrary. These slight imperfections might even add character to the piece.

A mystery box pipe is a pipe assembled from random pipe components that are fully functional yet imperfect in some way. Most stems are the same quality as those on my premium pieces. If you'd like a particular design of mine, odds are i have one laying around, so don't hesitate to ask!

Most recent years have seen an increase in my quality control and fewer so-called mishaps, so most of the pieces I ship are premium pipes constructed from random components available.
